A.O.B.:

The new Garmin GPS Plotter/Sonar has been fitted to one of the strikeliners. The new trailer has

now been delivered and will be in use shortly.

Paul Harrington queried insurance cover and was told we were covered by IFSA insurance and

our own club insurance.

Following the poor attendance by club members at last year’s Christmas Dance the committee

decided to seek the opinion of club members re this year. Very little interest was shown so it has

been decided not to hold the event this year.

DUNCANNON OUTING :

Club outing to Duncannon has been organised for the 4th September. This the last charter trip of

the year. As it is not a club competition it is open to club members, family and friends. Anyone

wishing to fish should call the Secretary on the club mobile 087 0932879.

Places are limited so don’t delay in booking.

EVENING MACKEREL FISHING:

Evening mackerel fishing continues on Wednesday and Thursday evenings. Boat spaces can be

booked by putting your name on the notice board in clubhouse or check on club mobile for

spaces.

CLUB BOAT HIRE:

The committee have set the following charges for the hire of club boats.

New boat will be charged at €10 per person with a minimum charge of €40 per day. Tanks must

be left full at end of hire.

Small boats will cost €10 per day and provide own petrol.

Mackerel fishing on small boats is €5.

PORTO RICO:

Derek Evans has decided not to go ahead with the Porto Rico holiday. Again lack of support is the

reason for this decision.

SUNDAY NIGHT MUSIC:

Bar staff were agreed for Sunday nights as follows:

Tony Conway, Nicky Byrne, Eugene Condon, Pat Ward, Gerry Clarke, Terry Doyle, Peter Warren,

Peter Gaffey, Jim Scullion and Seamus McBride were some of the name who volunteered for the

next month.

New recruits to the bar are always required. Training will be given on all aspects of the work if

needed. And remember if you work the bar for 6 Sunday nights in the year you get free

membership the next year.

Why not come along and enjoy the singing and dancing with Colm’s one man band. It’s always a

great nights entertainment.

CLUB MEETINGS FOR SPETEMBER 2010:

The Club Meeting for August will be held on Monday 13th September.
